For example, when you walk on a wood floor, the tree rings beneath your feet gently remind you of your connection to the forest. For the kitchen, we take inspiration from traditional Japanese construction methods, fusing time-honored techniques with modern functionality. We create spaces that can be used for a long time and have a sense of security.
Felix Conran
Felix Conran, founder of HA Partners, is a designer and entrepreneur from the UK. Based in Higashiyoshino Village, Nara Prefecture, he launched HA Partners, a company that proposes sustainable living in rural areas. HA Partners combines a global design perspective with local materials and techniques to create attractive products and spaces that are carefully crafted. The aim is to support local economies and foster a future where people can continue to live richly in areas outside of urban areas. Felix worked in product and furniture design early in his career, and later co-founded Maker&Son, a D2C furniture brand known for its handmade sofas made from natural materials. The company attracted attention with its unique idea of a mobile showroom. As director, he contributed greatly to the growth of the brand, from product development to overseas expansion and the creation of a vertically integrated business model that values comfort, transparency and sustainability.
